MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Chroma Art Gallery is to be a leader in the presentation and promotion of contemporary visual arts within the southeastern region of the United States. Through exhibition, outreach, and related programming, the gallery is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the Savannah community, the state of Georgia, and the Southeast.
VISION STATEMENT
The Chroma Art Gallery will be nationally/internationally recognized as an outstanding contemporary fine art gallery through its dynamic exhibition programming and outstanding related programs. Chroma Art Gallery will remain dedicated to representing contemporary artists working in the southeastern region of the United States.
A few of our related outreach programs include;
1) Visiting artists series. This series brings national/international artists to the City of Savannah
2) Educational:
a) Independent Study Projects; i.e. Shadowing Programs with local educational oganizations
b) Gallery informational talks for local schools and universities
c) Internship & Mentoring Programs
3) Receptions for varying groups, local and regional
4) Artist talks and Demonstrations, in the gallery and/or in the field
5) Artist Workshops
6) Participating member in the activities sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Convention and Visitors Bureau
7) Participating member in the activites of the Savannah Downtown Business Association
8) Founding member of the Savannah Fine Art Dealers Association SavFADA
BACKGROUND
Founded in the fall of 2001 by Jan Clayton-Pagratis and Lori Keith Robinson, the Chroma Gallery is located on Ellis Square in the original City Market area. Chroma Gallery offers about 2,000 square feet of exhibition space in the heart of historic Savannah. The gallery represents American contemporary artists with an emphasis on artists who are working in the southeastern region of the United States. We are committed to establishing the careers of emerging artists and presenting mid-career artists who are working in a contemporary style.
